Message from our 27th President Rtn Dr TK Siamalan...

Rotary greetings to everyone on this auspicious moment when I am destined to don the cap of leadership of the Rotary club of Angamaly. I am fully aware that the responsibility cast on me is immense especially because I am succeeding very many illustrious leaders of this club which has already completed a glorious period of 26 years of its history with a lot of projects and events. Rotary has already crossed its century mark. The movement has in its fold more than 1.2 million dedicated and service minded members, spread over the geographical boundaries of 206 countries. This has been made possible by the selfless and dedicated service rendered by the Rotary families, the world over. Rotary is providing solace and succor to millions of people year after year – to the poor, the handicapped, the destitute, the sick and the downtrodden.

There are many who come up with the questions as to how such an enormous task is undertaken and managed by Rotary. The answer to this question is in-built into the various community service projects of Rotary through which the Rotarians reach out to help and build lasting relationship with people who suffer. The biggest asset which helps achieve this mission and the objectives of Rotary is the men in its fold. Our experience shows that human resource is the most valuable asset of any business or organization. People are more valuable than capital or equipment. This perhaps is the true meaning of Rotary fellowship. Let us therefore remember that “he who serves best profits most” and let us share Rotary with the community around us.
